Exam day guidelines

NEET 2022 exam day guidelines are very important for the students, which are mentioned on the admit card. Admit card mentions all important details including the reporting time, gate closing time and others.

Banned things at exam centre

Certain things are banned to carry to the exam centre, which are mentioned on the admit card like electronic devices, calculators etc. Moreover, students are also advised to avoid carrying any metallic objects including jewellery like earrings, nose rings, rings, pendants, necklaces, bracelet or anklets as they will need to undergo frisking. Students are also directed to follow all Covid-19 related guidelines.

Dress code for exam

One of the most fascinating parts of the NEET exam process is its dress code. Students are mandated to follow the dress code. They are instructed to avoid heavily embroidered or long sleeve clothes along with garments with large buttons and footwear with thick soles. Instead, students are advised to wear light coloured, simple clothes like T-shirt, trousers etc. If a student wears a dress which suits to his/her religious inclination, in that case he/she needs to report at the exam venue a little early to undergo a through checking process.

For male candidates, kurta pajama is not allowed. Shoes are also strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Sandals and chappal with a thin sole is advisable. Whereas, in case of female no clothe with full arm length sleeves should be worn on the day of examination. As per the NTA NEET dress code, jeans with big pockets and fashionable are also not allowed. Rather, female candidates are advised to avoid jeans. Leggings and palazzo are also not allowed for female candidates.

Section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 provides for holding of a common and uniform National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to the undergraduate medical courses in all medical institutions including those governed under any other law.

The responsibility of NTA is limited to inviting online application, conduct of the entrance test, declaration of result and providing All India Rank to the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has been established as a premier, specialist, autonomous and self-sustained testing organization to conduct entrance examinations for admission in higher educational institutions.

To assess competence of candidates for admissions and recruitment has always been a challenge in terms of matching with research based international standards, efficiency, transparency and error free delivery.

India has the largest number of medical colleges in the world, both in terms of modern medicine and AYUSH. There are close to 90,000 MBBS graduates in these 595 medical colleges of Modern Medicine  popularly known as allopathy and around 53,000 graduates in another 733 AYUSH medical colleges are produced every year.
