MBA

MBA or Master of Business Administration is a post graduate program in business administration. The course draws students from different subject areas like commerce and science. The fundamental subjects in the course of study are tailored to acquaint students with the different domains of business like finance, accounting, human resources, marketing, and operations management. In India, MBA degrees are offered in different modes such as part-time, full-time, distance learning, accelerated, and executive.


Current Scenario of MBA in India

India is home to more than 1600 business schools which impart management education with MBA programs. The duration of these courses of study is normally two years.
The PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) or PGPM (Post Graduate Program in Management) can only be offered by the business schools or management education institutes that are approved by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education).On the other hand, only a university can offer a post-graduate degree or master's degree in management. The duration of these courses is normally two years and they are typically full-time courses. However, one-year executive MBA programs are fast gaining popularity in the country
