Mass Communication

The current decade has seen a fading interest towards the coveted careers of the 90's, such as engineering and medicine. More and more youngsters are choosing glamorous and exciting careers such as fashion designing, image management, digital marketing and mass communication. Besides being exciting, these disciplines are offering better paychecks and lifestyles than others. A degree or professional qualification in mass communication opens the gateways of opportunities in electronic media such as TV channels and movies and also in print media such as magazines, newspapers, publications, and advertising. This qualification will also help you go for fields related to public relations and training. 

Current Scenario of Courses on Mass Communication in India

Print media



It is mainly to create content for journals, periodicals and newspapers. For newspapers it is mainly to do with news compilation, editing, proof reading and analysis. With a rapid growth in this field, almost every channel is looking for professionals who can handle the diverse requirements. The need people who can create quality audio visual content for information, entertainment and education. A person looking for a break in this field can learn many things during his mass communication course, such as direction, production, working with camera, creating graphics, editing, sound techniques, and script writing etc.

Films and advertising



A course in mass communication arms you with the skills necessary to enter the world of film production and advertising. You can also produce the advertisements to be aired on famous TV channels. Apart from audio visual ads, you can also create simple ads for the billboards, handouts and newspapers. 

Public relations



Public relations and image management is another area where a person with qualifications in mass communication can find excellent job opportunities. As, these are not just the businesses or corporate who are looking for such things, nowadays political organizations, NGOs, religious entities, schools, private universities, private hospitals and consultants are looking for professionals trained in public relations and internal and external communications.

MBBS

  MBBS Career in MBBS MBBS or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery is a professional degree which is conferred by the medical schools and colleges in India. Though the name of the degree indicates that these are two different degrees, they are considered as one degree and conferred jointly.  The duration of the MBBS course is 4.5 years. After completing this, the students need to undergo a Mandatory Rotating Residential Internship which takes 12 months.  Current Scenario of MBBS in India In order to become eligible to study MBBS in India, the students should score at least 50% in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and English in their Higher Secondary or 10+2 exams. In India, in case of reserved category students (Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes), the prerequisite is 40%. At the time of getting admission, the age of the student should be between 17 years to 25 years. Approximately 5 Lakh students vie for 32000 MBBS seats.

  The p-block is on the right side of the standard periodic table and encompasses elements in groups 13 to 18. Their general electronic configuration is   n s 2   n p 1–6 .   Helium , though being the first element in group 18, is not included in the p-block.
